Students FIRST Project
The Students FIRST Project is a county wide collaboration of schools, families, mental health, and other child serving systems working together to ensure that all Chittenden County children, youth, and their families have the social and emotional supports and services they need for healthy development and school success.
Federal funding for the Students FIRST Project concluded in November, 2012 marking the offical ending of Students FIRST after 7 wonderful and successful years. We are SO fortunate to have had the opportunity to help build Chittenden County’s capacity to support our children and families in so many ways. From families to educators, social service providers to law enforcement, Chittenden County truly has remarkable people devoted to the well being of our young people and community and it has been an honor to work in partnership toward our goals.
To continue to provide key resources to our community, Howard Center Child, Youth, and Family Services (Chittenden County’s Designated Community Mental Health Center) is continuing to grow and maintain this website. Feel free to e-mail us through the contact us button on the top of each page if you have questions or suggestions.
